About US

Holiday Percussion is a mass inter generational percussion ensemble that features percussionists performing Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa music on marimba, bells, xylophone, vibraphone, drums, timpani and more! Last year we've had participants come from over 15 different towns throughout New Jersey. They came from as far south as Glassboro, NJ and as far north as Basking Ridge. Participants ranged in age from 10 years old to 55. Last year we've had the privilege of students from Rowan University come and play with us. We also have several local professionals join us as well. It is a fun event for all ages!

Holiday Percussion has affiliations to The New Jersey Percussion Educator's Association, the Percussive Arts Society and the New Jersey Music Educator's Association. Our mission is not only to bring in the holiday season with a bang but to bring percussion to the forefront and provide students with the opportunity to be recognized in a public setting for their efforts in total percussion study.

Once a participant enrolls they receive, via email, the music for our show and a link to a website that host our audio tracks for practice purposes. Participants are to learn the music independently, from a private teacher or in a school/private ensemble setting. Then participants attend two large group rehearsals that lead up to the performance. A truly unique and exciting experience for percussionists off all ages!
